We're Off to See the Wizard

A grand Independence Day, all-in-all. My husband grilled pork chops, we watched the "Overhaulin'" marathon and nearly got rained out of fireworks.

Tomorrow is the day we head out to Tulsa for Doug's interview on Thursday morning. Attention all prayer warriors - we're hoping this is the one! Doug got the most beautiful chocolate brown, pinstripe suit that makes me think all kinds of lovely thoughts about him. I'd hire him in that suit just to hang out at my business to improve traffic flow! He feels really good in it and I hope it is the confidence booster that puts him over the top, interview-wise.

Just a short post tonite and then I'll update you when we get back Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Thanks to all you wonderful post-ers for your words of encouragement. We cooked with mustard seed today, and I think my faith is at least that big. Happy 4th everyone!

THIS made me laugh: "Doug got the most beautiful chocolate brown, pinstripe suit that makes me think all kinds of lovely thoughts about him."

Too funny. And y'all will be in my prayers.

BIG prayers being sent up! I'm also crossing my fingers:) Let us know when you get back how it went! Much love you, L. (p.s. I still have my prayer card--let's hope it works this time!!)

My fingers are crossed, too. I can't wait to hear how this trip goes. I have a real good feeling about it. I'll say a little prayer, too, just in case you need it but I really have a good feeling about this.

Blogging would be worth it, if for no other reason, in that when you ask, they pray! Praying for Doug. Let us know what happens.

I found your site via Lisa Whelchel, via Sarah, via Sarah's mom! I love REAL people - and it just so happens that I live in Broken Arrow OK, the prettiest Part of Tulsa! Praying for you - and if you need any help "settling in" or finding stuff, I'd love to be there for you!

Yes we are moving as soon as the Lord opens the job doors. In fact, Broken Arrow is where we have tentatively settled on for our home base. No word yet on the interview, though it lasted 2 hours and Doug thinks it went very well. I have yet to find gainful employment in spite of an M.Ed. in Counseling that ought to be worth something. I'm not bitter, just tired of waiting. Perhaps I'm not supposed to work right away - just get my family settled in. We'll see. Thanks for logging in and I look forward to hearing from you again.
